Upcoming Events and Activities
Twilight Croquet will continue in the new year, every second Friday at 4pm. A new schedule will be announced shortly once the lawns are back in use.
Lawn Refurbishment Update: Work is well underway and should be completed by Friday February 6. However the lawn then needs to be marked out and the hoop holes cored, which is planned for Sunday, February 8. Ian needs volunteers to help; the more the merrier. If you can help please just email Ian that you are coming down. Regular play will then resume February Monday 9. Thank you for your patience while these works have been in progress, but I’m sure you will appreciate the new surface.
The Club’s Autumn Open Day will take place in March, but the final date is still to be confirmed
The Club has a full croquet lawn, and a smaller practice lawn situated in Figtree Park Hunters Hill; a picturesque setting with a Club room and support facilities on-hand.
The beauty of croquet is that from your very first game you have a sense of achievement, and this continues to grow as your skills develop over time. It is a game of angles, judgement, technique, strategy and fun!!!
